I’m Mary and I run Another Cent Saved.
When it comes to money, me and my family have always had enough. We’re lucky, or at least a lot more lucky than some. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have to work hard to enjoy our luxuries and live the life that we want to live.
I have started this blog as a way to document my life and all the fun little tips and tricks I have discovered over the journey to scrimp, save and make things work.
Some are pretty straight forward, others are a little out of the ordinary but they all work.
But more importantly they are all things that contribute to the enormous joy I have for my life. Because that is the key thing when you approach your life with a frugal attitude, every new thing you try as a means of trying to save a bit of money doesn’t have to be a chore. Whether it is learning to bake your own delicious bread, making DIY Christmas decorations or just building a budget that works for you lifestyle, not only can you get a lot of fun out of the activities themselves, there is also a true sense of achievement that can be found from busting your butt for the sake of your family.
Because being frugal should never be a case of feeling like you’re ‘doing without’. You’ve only got one life to live and it is too short to spend any of it not feeling like you’re giving it your all.
Please drop me a line if you have something to say or feel like you have something to contribute.
